Help for Special Needs
Website Tools
Many individuals and families have special housing needs. These special needs include altering the home, and providing the necessary support services that allow individuals to live independently.
Special needs groups include the elderly, physically and developmentally disabled individuals, veterans and the homeless. Unfortunately, many people with special needs also have fixed or low incomes.
People with special needs often have difficulty finding housing that is decent, safe, affordable, and adapted to their special needs. The high cost of providing accessible housing with necessary support services makes such housing out of reach for their limited incomes.
Fortunately, there are many local, State and Federal agencies have programs that can help provide these special housing needs.
